The Thrifted Blazer.

This was my look for the Natural Hair Expo. Initially, I’d planned on wearing shorts, but had to change into jeans due to the weather. It was all bright & sunny & warm as I got dressed, but quickly turned gloomy as we walked out the door :(

Anyway…
I love this blazer! It’s super comfortable & feels very well cut. I found it at the Salvation Army some time last year, and had it dry cleaned. It still had the original tags/spare button envelope on it. It’s funny…after I brought it home, I realized that I already had a similar blazer in my closet.

  1. Sometimes I buy similar items without meaning to. That’s a really cute oufit. I have yet to find any bright colored blazers at the thrift shops, I have black and navy though. I’m loving your wrist party too!

      Thanks Mandi! For some reason, I’ve never thought about bright blazers. Now, I’m interested. LOL

  2. GORGEOUS!!! I tell you – that cut is so flattering, love the classic look – super cute!

  3. I tend to buy identical clothes on purpose. I have a very weird body, so once I find something that flatters my shape, I try to buy several in that style.

    It can be very frustrating when they discontinued the item or I put on weight and can’t fit them anymore. :-/

  4. it´s great i´ll be back soon.

    YES! I have two of everything in my closet…at least I’m consitant. What is this awesomeness on the wall that you are standing in front of?

    • MerelyMarie says:

      I thought it looked interesting too! I’m not sure what it is…wish I’d taken a picture of the label :(

  6. What a great find…cute shoes and way to go with the boyfriend jeans i have yet to find one that fits me the right way.

  7. You have this ability to know how to combine a very classic and casual peice of clothing into something spectacular without “the abling bling effect”;
    Love love the blazer, the blouse and the shoes

  8. That blazer is awesome. Such a nice find. I want navy blazer one myself.

    What’s in your background? That’s really unusual decoration. It seems like butterfly nest. I really like it

      Thanks Suzana! I was in an Art Center, but I didn’t catch the name of this piece. It is pretty interesting though!
