Hannibal Can Cook.

Hannibal, TV

Mads Mikkelsen was a good choice for Dr. Hannibal Lecter.

We crack up every time we see who got invited to dinner. And, those cooking scenes…art!

Here’s the gist:
“Will Graham (Hugh Dancy, “The Big C”) is a gifted criminal profiler who is on the hunt for a serial killer with the FBI. Graham’s unique way of thinking gives him the astonishing ability to empathize with anyone – even psychopaths. He seems to know what makes them tick. But when the mind of the twisted killer he’s pursuing is too complicated for even Will to comprehend, he enlists the help of Dr. Lecter, one of the premier psychiatric minds in the country. Armed with the uncanny expertise of the brilliant doctor, Will and Hannibal (known as a serial killer only to the audience) form a brilliant partnership and it seems there’s no villain they can’t catch. If Will only knew…”

Psycho & Bates Motel.

Bates Motel, TV

Before we started watching this fairly new show, we saw Hitchcock’s Psycho. That was my first time seeing the movie. It was creepy & interesting! Just like Bates Motel. I especially like how the show has recreated the eerie house on the hill.

The gist:
“After the tragic death of her husband, Norma Bates (Vera Farmiga) buys a motel on the outskirts of an idyllic coastal town seeking a fresh start. Her handsome and shy teenage son Norman (Freddie Highmore) quickly catches the eyes of the local girls, much to his mother’s horror. Norma and Norman soon discover the idyllic town isn’t what it seems, and the locals will do anything to protect their secret.” -Amazon.com

Celebrity Apprentice: Why are they getting on Gary? Leave him alone!

all-star celebrity apprentice

All-Star Celebrity Apprentice, TV

There’s a lull in our list of good television shows to watch right now.

While we patiently await the return of Game of Thrones and Mad Men (and hang on to the edge of the couch for the last few episodes of The Walking Dead), we’ve started watching All-Star Celebrity Apprentice. We’re pretty sure it’s scripted “reality TV”, nevertheless, we’re really enjoying it, so far. We only wish they’d stop calling Gary Busey out as the weakest member of team Plan B.
I mean…for goodness sake, they made him cry!

I like Gary, he’s funny. Omorosa & Dennis cracks us up too. And, I just love to listen to Trace talk. His voice…

P.S.
I’ve discovered that The Walking Dead character I’m most like is…Merle. Ha! If you watch the show & like fun, personality quiz’s, take this one! Husband “Dead Myself” with this app. Yes, I’m a major fan of this show! :)

It Takes Different Strokes to Move The World.

Different Strokes to Move The World

More inspiration via old television show theme music.

12 points, if you know the first line to these lyrics!

Did you know this song was sung (& partially written) by Alan Thicke?

Ooh…1000 bonus points if you know the TV show he was on!

Scandalous!

Scandal, TV

Upon a couple of recommendations (and seeing all the weekly Twitter talk), we’ve finally hopped aboard the Scandal train.

Good TV. It’s like House of Lies and Homeland combined.

The Olivia/Fitz love story reminds me of Buffy & Angel. She’s strong. Kicks butt. Only showing vulnerability around him. He’s powerful. Magnetic. And, they can only be together in the dark.

We just started the second season.

Who’s your favorite Grantham Sister?

crawley sisters

Mine is Lady Sybil. I love her rather “forward-thinking”, and über romantic love story!

We’re watching Season 3, and I don’t think it’s right to not feel a pang of like…sympathy…something, for Lady Edith.

Being the oldest sister in my family, I sometimes feel like Lady Mary.

Who’s your favorite Grantham sister? To which, if any, can you relate?

Shark Tank + What’s Your Business?

Shark Tank, TV

Over the Winter break, my brother-in-law got us hooked on this show.

We are catching up, watching the previous seasons.

It’s interesting. The people that come on. The ideas. The businesses that are built on great ideas, with seemingly good people running them.
Success stories.

Inspiring & entertaining stuff!

There’s something to be learned about presentation & negotiation. And, Mr. Wonderful…is wonderful!
