Merely Ducky Duck!

So. Husband sketched me. As a duck! Well–he says, I was his muse for this.

I keep Ducky Duck on my desktop computer, as wallpaper. It’s daily inspiration to be something super! Plus, it’s just funny to look at.

If you’d like to see more of my husband’s work, check out his site here. Garrett’s also a professional Graphic Designer. But, he’s an even more awesome Illustrator.

LLS Fundraising Campaign. We’d Love Your Support!

Husband is gearing up to run the 2012 Chicago Marathon.

This race is no joke. 26.2 miles long. Thousands sign up & come from all over the world to run it.

It’s a huge event in the city!

I can’t wait to cheer Garrett on from the sidelines again! He tells me that that is the most awesome part (aside from crossing the finish line). Seeing & hearing the crowds cheering you on. What’s more, seeing & hearing your family cheer you on!

This will be his second time running the Chicago Marathon, and raising funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). He did so in 2010, and finished that race in 3h:41m:54s. (I started to just approximate 3 hours, but I understand that exact time is everything to runners.)

Whilst congratulating him, I remember brief moments where I wished that I were a runner too. So I could fully grasp the magnitude of joy, pride, and accomplishment (& relief) that he must’ve felt when crossing the finish line. After several months of hard training & dedication. And then, to be handed a medal…
I’d probably bawl for days at thought of the experience!

It sounds funny, but I felt so honored to just know him that day…let alone, be his wife.

Anyway, I’m writing this post to request your help. Please donate to LLS. :)

You can check out Garrett’s TNT Donation Page for the deets on how to do so! It’s quick, secure, & totally anonymous…unless you want to give your name. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Thanks Everyone!

All You Gon Eva Be is a Dishwasher…, by LivinMyBestLife
I could listen to her preach all day! Another great message about respecting people, no matter their titles & positions & what material possessions they may have. “..life does not consist in an abundance of possessions…” -Luke 12:15
Whoo…yes!!!
Yes. Amen!

Want to Grow Spiritually? Spend Time In the Word! Here’s How I Do It, by Sunshinelovespeace
She breaks it down; sharing her personal testimony & ends with great tips on reading the Bible, references to get a better understanding of it, and how to stay in the Word.
Awesome!

I LOVE & appreciate Youtubers who seem to have an inherent gift for delivering powerful messages, especially involving spirituality. Please share with me if you know anyone I should be subscribed to! Thanks :)

Thoughts on Defensiveness from Glamazini.

Interesting points!

I love her Free Therapy videos. Don’t Explain Yourself is my favorite! Since seeing that video, I’ve gotten a little better at not explaining the “whats” & “whys” of what I do (& don’t do). Thanks Ini!

Why I Love Whoopi Goldberg.

She is clearly herself! Throughout all the years she’s been in show business, she seems to remain unchanged by what people expect her to be…really, what people expect her to look like.

I can only imagine how strong the pressures are to look a certain way, when you’re famous and in that industry, but she has managed to disregard…divert…or some other word, these pressures. Or maybe, it’s never been an issue for her to tackle at all.
I don’t know.

All I know is that the woman is talented. She has her own voice and uses it to express her own “View”, and she does it all with great humor. There is something to be admired about that. To me, it says, “This is who I am. If you don’t like it. Sorry. Actually, I’m not sorry. I just don’t give a damn.” LOL
I love that about her!

Every time I see Whoopi walk out with the ladies on The View, I smile a little. When she doesn’t, I usually turn off the TV.
Go Whoopi!!!
