- 1/2 cup of milk instead of 3/4 cup
- fresh blueberries (1/2 – 3/4 cup) mashed & folded into the batter
- a few whole blueberries placed on top of each pancake, just after spooning it onto the griddle
Who needs another greek salad recipe?
This one is on the chunky side, but it’s very satisfying when left to marinate for a few hours in the refrigerator. Very fresh!
I added my tomatoes in after marinating because, they just aren’t as good as room temperature tomatoes. Wouldn’t you say?
Great (and correct) guesses on the last post! Thanks so much for playing along.
Graham crackers. Sweetened condensed milk. And, limes. A key lime pie was certainly being made…with a very fancy graham cracker pie crust, I might add. Ha!
Side note: I decided not to use those limes. Since I couldn’t find any fresh key limes at the store, I ended up purchasing a bottled juice (Nellie & Joe’s Famous Key West Lime Juice). I’m not sure of the difference between key limes and regular limes but, I felt like the key lime juice would be better for this pie. Or else, it’d just be called Lime Pie.
This recipe doesn’t require any eggs. Or, baking!
Let’s get into it…
Light. Flavorful. Good.
Let’s get into the recipe…
Summer is “grilling season”, and Carne Asada means grilled meat.
But, what if you don’t have a grill?
What if you don’t feel like lighting up charcoals and having your entire being smell like Smoky Links?
In either case, using a traditional Carne Asada recipe, but cooking it on top of the stove works just fine.
Will you still have those sexy grill marks and delicious smoked flavor? Of course not.
But, at least you won’t smell like Smoky Links.
