Have you ever heard of using mayonnaise to make a grilled cheese sandwich?
I had no clue about this until my husband told me a few weeks ago (a co-worker told him about it).
Since I’ve been in a grilled cheese & soup mood lately, I tried it. Butter is my usual ointment of choice when making this sandwich but, you know…this turned out pretty good. I like how the mayo evenly browns and crisps up the gluten-free bread. It does add a slight tangy taste but, it’s not bad.
