Mmmh…doughnuts! *insert image of Homer Simpson drooling* Lol
I stopped by Glazed and Infused on two different occasions recently, in the River North area.

Amongst the array of Old-fashioned, Red Velvet, Chocolate, Bismark Special, Blueberry Lemon and Maple Bacon doughnuts, there was a chocolate Gluten-less doughnut with chocolate ganache that had my name on it.
On my first visit the Gluten-less was topped with chocolate shavings. This time it had sprinkles.
I ordered it both times.
With a decaf Americano, breakfast was good!
The coffee was smooth. The doughnut was soft, moist, and chocolatey. Very tasty to not have been made with wheat flour!
Side note: I have tried and failed a few times trying to make gluten-free doughnuts at home. It is very difficult to get a soft yeast dough, or a cake dough, that isn’t dense and crumbly. I haven’t given up though. Still testing recipes.
Goglazed.com suggests calling or checking Facebook to see what gluten-less options are being offered for the day. I’ll do that next time, as I look forward to trying other flavors. I pray that there’s a gluten-less yeast raised doughnut with glaze available, or an apple fritter…
Mmmh…gluten-less apple fritter…
Get out of here Homer! Lol
If you’re in Chicago, check out Glazed and Infused. They have several locations around the city.
