Our visit to the Phoenix Art Museum in AZ was an enjoyable experience.
Lifelike (especially The Uncanny and Realism into Abstraction sections) was an especially cool exhibit.
Hollywood Costume was my favorite!
Ok, so this was really nice to see up close.
I have no words except that from some of the costume sizes, the actors seemed a lot shorter/smaller than I imagined (i.e., Bond and Batman). Lol
This was a very cool installation from Lifelike. Miniature elevators. They opened & closed, lit up, and had sound!
Also from Lifelife, a self-portrait. The hair…skin…and eyeballs especially looked real. Amazing!
If you’re from Chicago and/or familiar with Cloud Gate (better known as, “The Bean“) in Millennium Park, this sculpture was created by the same artist.
Roll over the last three images to see the titles and artist names.
I hope to visit this museum again next time we’re in Phoenix. We didn’t get to see everything because, we had a reservation to ride some horses.
If you’re in the area, check out Hollywood Costume before it closes on July 6th!
