My Husband sent me this link to a very interesting quiz involving dialect/linguistics.
What does the way you speak say about where you’re from?
According to my personal map results, my dialect is similar to that of a person from Greensboro, North Carolina/Jackson, Mississippi/Columbus, GA.
If you took the quiz, what were your results?
Growing up, I would say “pop”. Since marrying my more northern dialect having Husband, I’ve adopted the term “soda”. And yet, it becomes “fountain drink” when ordering at a restaurant.
