Hey everyone! I’m back.
My Husband and I were in Arizona last week visiting family. It was a nice trip. Everyone was well & good, and we stopped by some pretty cool places while there.
One place was the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix. The trails were filled with plants, flowers, wild life and colorful Chihuly art.

It was HOT (90 degree temps) under the afternoon sun, but comfortable in the shade. We made sure to bring water with us, whenever we left the house really.
Aww…I wonder what they were saying to each other? How does one make an AZ squirrel-friend? Lol So cute!!!
Cool sundial. I think the time was accurate too.
There were also fresh herbs and vegetables in the Garden. I think these were artichokes…
There was an intoxicating area that held fresh lavender, sage, and rosemary mint. It smelled so good!
More little critters. I call that last one Angry Bird. Look at his beak! It’s in a permanent down-turn. Lol
The garden also had a butterfly exhibit that you could walk through and be surrounded by hundreds of butterflies. To my relief, it was closing time when we got there! Lol I don’t like bugs/insects, especially ones that can fly and jump around. That’s probably why I hate ladybugs. Oh, and crickets are the worst! I will leave the room and quietly close the door behind me if there’s a cricket hoppin’ around (and making that horrid sound) in there. He can have the room!
Lastly, a few of the few pictures I took while there. This last picture is my favorite, even though the quality is what it is. Phone picture quality.
My Husband took all of the other photos in this post, minus the sundial one. Lol We bought a new telephoto zoom lens for our camera, and I’d say it’s a pretty good one based on the pictures he took.
Is there a botanical garden in your area? We have one in the Chicagoland (Glencoe) area but, I’ve yet to visit.
