I don’t usually like trying new stuff on my hair, but when I saw Jane Carter had a new product line out at Target, I was curious. I’ve been using her hair products for years and generally like them.
After a few years of using the same bottle of Jane Carter shampoo I finally ran out and decided to purchase the Creamy Conditioner Cleanser instead. It was on clearance sale. Why not?
The scent was pleasant. Not too faint. Not too perfume-y or medicinal.
The consistency was runny. Like lotion, or a thin conditioner.
Detangling was not effortless. It took about the same amount of time it usually takes me to detangle.
I pretty much followed the instructions on the bottle and afterwards, my hair felt a little softer and stronger. Not sure if this product has any protein in it but, it felt like it. As far as cleansing goes…Ehhh! I guess it felt as a clean as it could get, washing with “conditioner”. Except for leave-in conditioner (and occasionally Jane Carter Condition Sculpt), I don’t really put products on my hair anymore after washing it. So, I don’t really have “product build-up”, just “natural dirty hair build-up”, if that makes any sense. I normally wash my hair 1-2 times a week.
Overall, I thought this cleanser was just “okay”. I kinda wished I’d just bought my regular shampoo (either Jane Carter or Head & Shoulders 2-N-1) instead. I won’t be buying this again.
