Going to the Farmers Market is always on my list of things to do in the summertime.
Fruit and vegetables, fresh from the Midwest. Yes!
It inspires me to make new dishes and eat healthier. It also puts visions in my head of growing a garden.
These peaches smelled so good!
Husband thinks it’s gross, but I love to sprinkle salt on fresh peaches. I think it tastes fantastic.
These pecan crunch candies are addictive! It’s like peanut brittle for us poor peanut allergy sufferers. Eating half the container in one sitting isn’t hard. At all.
I managed not to buy any candy for myself this trip.
I did get a box of gorgeous tomatoes, couple of cucumbers, garlic, a bell pepper and sweet red onion to try yet another Greek Salad recipe. It came out really good.
I also bought some Mirai Sweet Corn. That is some SUPERB corn on the cob!
The Chicago Farmer’s Market happens every Thursday (through October 2013).
7:00am to 3:00pm in downtown Chicago, at Daley Plaza (50 W Washington Street).
