There’s just something about black. It’s serious. Simple. Less, yet more…
Plus, I recently purchased not one, but two LBD’s (Little Black Dress)! They’re pretty basic and simple, which I LOVE. There’s no figuring out tops and bottoms and belts. All I have to do is pick something to put on my feet. Flats or pumps. Or sandals. Either works without much thought, which is just awesome.
I’ve noticed that I don’t want to spend a lot of time thinking about what to wear anymore.
I used to love choice and having a variety of different clothes to choose from.
Now, I feel like I only want what works.
Preferably, hanging from about 7-10 hangers in my closet, instead of twenty something.
Side note: There’s somewhat of a trend going on, as I had something similar happen with my hair last year. The more I cut it, the better I felt because, I didn’t have to worry about styling it anymore. What is this? It all feels very blasé.
This could be bad (i.e., monotonous) for the blog but, I think, good in some ways.
The idea of having less laundry comes to mind…
Do you enjoy having variety and tons of clothing choices? Ever do a purposeful clothing purge or cut-back? If so, how has that worked out for you?
One last question…what color or neutral are you into wearing right now?
