The American Club Carriage House + Kohler Waters Spa.

We went back. For a weekend getaway/birthday present to me.

It was nice to see the grounds, sans snow.

Still quiet. Still pretty!

Inside the Carriage House…great hospitality, complimentary drinks and Truffle Oil & Sea Salt Popcorn (Yummy…must make this at home!), fresh linen, whirlpool bath, free breakfast & afternoon tea, access to the Kohler Waters Spa facilities (the suites are on the second floor above the spa), and an amazing (bathroom) shower, which is like a “spa experience” in itself!

Kohler is known for their kitchen & bath fixtures. So, top-notch plumbing abounds.

We upgraded from the Immersion Suite (where we roomed on our last visit), to the Carriage House Suites. It was very nice, but we expected the separate whirlpool bath room to have drapes, or shades, or something over the windows.

Granted, it’s a “sun room”. So. I guess, it’s fine if you’re comfortable bathing/soaking (nude) out in the open.
Not fine if all you can imagine is big, “peeping owls” sitting on the tree limbs outside.

Thankfully, the room had a light dimmer. So, if you wanted, you could turn down the lights for a more private & romantic, night-time soak.

We couldn’t leave without booking a spa treatment. Our favorite is the Twogether Massage.

You & yours basically share a dimly-lit, intimate room (ours had a fireplace), and simultaneously get full body “rub downs” by two massage therapists. You can let them know if you want them to concentrate on, or avoid certain areas. And, you get to pick from an array of scented oils.

It’s awesome. Highly recommend!

I almost cried when my therapist laid hot towels on my cold feets, after massaging them, and then rubbed them some more.
Real tears!
It felt so good.

When the massage was over, I just wanted to lay there & snooze. I felt very relaxed. Very cozy. The massage “table” adjusts to the perfect little nook, for your body!

Love, love, loved it!

P.S.
There were no owls. But, if the utmost privacy/intimacy is desired (regarding whirlpool baths), you may want to book a different suite.
