Sheboygan Wisconsin: The Art Museum.

John Michael Kohler Arts Center
608 New York Avenue
Sheboygan, WI 53081

Admission is by voluntary donation.

There were several exhibits happening on our visit:

  • A pretty cool digital projection of this guy dressing up, and mimicking the facial expressions & postures of other people.
  • Complex little wood carvings.
  • Fun cultural sculptures.
  • Awkward Family Photos.
  • And, super intricate mixed-media sculptures that made us wonder about the life (& daily living conditions) of the artist.

Unfortunately, we couldn’t take many photos, because most of the art was on loan.

But. Luckily for this blog post, even the bathrooms of the Arts Center are art!

Yes. Kohler plumbing & fixture photos were allowed & encouraged.

If you’re in the Sheboygan Wisconsin area, I’d definitely recommend stopping by this museum!

They even had a little greenhouse/drawing room (with art horse benches & easels), in case you felt inspired. Don’t forget to ask for some paper at the front desk.

Oh, and knocking before entering the restrooms (of the opposite sex) is recommended.
