Not sure why it took me so dang long (3 decades 🙁 ) to wear lipstick. I guess Chapstick & lip balms always felt like enough. *insert shrug*
Anyway…Thanks for all the encouragement & suggestions you ladies gave me several months back! I decided my first lipstick experience should involve the highly-raved Ruby Woo, from Mac.
It’s SO red!!!
How did it feel?
Applying it, I felt kinda nervous; quite concerned about having a possible allergic reaction…SO grateful that didn’t happen! After it was on, I felt slightly more alluring & Ooh-la-la, but soon forgot I was even wearing it.
Would I wear it again?
Sure. Lipstick is fun & feminine, and I like the idea of adding color to my face (a pretty lavender color comes to mind), but I honestly prefer me without it. I have odd feelings about wearing makeup, mostly because I’m lackadaisical when it comes to skin care. I’m trying to get better.
He was shocked when he saw me, but in a good way. Later on, when I asked him directly for his thoughts, he tells me I’m beautiful either way, but he too prefers me sans makeup.
Review Ruby Woo…
It’s as lovely as they say! Really. I started off with a swipe or two, but wanted the truest, real deal red that the tube could deliver; so I kept applying & rubbing my lips together. The color is a super bright, vintage red. Not much sheen to it, but I liked that about this lipstick; and my lips didn’t feel dry at all. I did put on some lip balm first. As I started to apply Ruby Woo, I thought…“Dangit! They said to use a lip pencil with this.”
Welp!…didn’t have one.
What was your first lipstick experience?
