Since my hair cut, I’ve slowly been getting back on track with my deep conditioning treatments. I can’t believe how lazy I’d gotten before; it was showing on my head. It’s definitely a lot easier having less hair & I kinda look forward to doing it!
My hair has been freshly washed prior to Step 1.
Sometimes I comb through with my hair pick or shower comb. Sometimes I don’t; I just make sure to get in the “thicket” well enough with my fingers when applying & smoothing on the conditioner.
I hate for this thing to cover my ears…but tucking it behind leaves out my edges:( What to do about that but suffer, I guess…
This requires gloves…the water in our building runs SCORCHING HOT, nevertheless I’ll occasionally flush the toilet to get it even hotter.
Letting the water run over & soak my towel, I put on the gloves, wring it out, & quickly cover the plastic cap on my head.
Mmmh…feels so warm & toasty!
…prepping food, or blogging while I wait…
I love the idea of sealing hair cuticles with cold water on the final rinse, but I just can’t do it unless it’s a very HOT summer day.
I currently use either Jane Carter Nutrient Replenishing Conditioner or Giovanni’s Smooth as Silk Conditioner.
Be back with the deets on how I “style” my hair…

you have gorgeous curls…so great to condition your hair this way. i never heard about the warm damp towel method…seems to work wonders. seeing your fro makes me want one so bad…again i love your new haircut!
Thanks Monique
Wash Day does seem much easier. Your hair looks really good. Do you mainly do wash n goes now, or do you do twist styles?
Thanks Jhan! Yes, I do wash & go’s very often.
I love the shape of your hair cut!
Thank you
I use the conditioning cap and just wear it for a while. If I’m trying to get it done quickly I set under the dryer for 15-20 minutes. I wouldn’t be able to stand a hot towel on my head. I hate to be hot.
I want another bonnet dryer…mines died after years of roller setting:(
I love your hair, I will definitely be trying this tonight!!!
Thanks Kiki! How’d it go?
Your curls are beautiful! Your new haircut looks great sis.
Awww…thanks GG
I’m definitely due for a deep conditioning treatment.
i recently did a Clay deep Condish, which I want to try over again because i used warm water and not Warm Coconut milk and then I used a different one that my hair loved. It was Coconut milk, avocado, and honey….this time i’m going to try it with a warm towel …it made my hair super soft though and relaxed.
